Milan based duo “buMMer” latest mixtape is a slingshot

Bummers selects and mixes some tunes for Wood'd Uncovered

Bummer is a duo made by brothers, delivering hot music to the world.

“This is not going to be easy!”. That’s what buMMer said when we’ve asked them to join the “Wood’d Vibes, translating into music their idea of wood, craftsmanship and tradition. Easy to say it when it concerns acoustic music, but these boys up here really push some heavy electro stuff! Guess what, they’ve made us a mixtape we can’t stop listening to. Andrea and Marco, that’s a win-win!

Ciao Bummer, what’s your real name and who are you?
Easy: We’re brothers, both producers and musicians, working in the underground bass music scene.

How did you start with music?
We both started at a young age, driven by curiosity, probably like 99% of the people that get involved into creative works. Then we just kept on playing and working on several projects together, until we’ve found our way of working together into buMMer and other projects that are currently under construction.

What are the main influences on your sound?
Our sound signature is constantly and slowly getting shaped, we have many influences and every one of them has contributed to this process.
We’re into great music from the past and we have a slightly different approach to every music genre, Andrea is in love with Hip Hop culture while Marco has a rock and alternative soul. Still, we’re always hungry for fresh new music and upcoming styles.

What are you currently listening to?
These years we’ve been exploring a lot into the bass music scene and we’ve been aware of the latest and coolest releases, there are many great producers, musicians and music labels that are doing great music and great things. Tip: go check out Culprate last album Deliverance to fully understand what we’re talking about.

Bummer mixes some house tunes for the Wood'd Vibes | Uncovered

Where did you draw your main inspirations for this mix, and what did you prepared for Wood’d?
When we first spoke with Stefano the goal was not really clear; I mean, a mixtape inspired by the suggestion that wood could give! Maybe we haven’t understand it yet.
What we tried to do is transmit some good vibes by putting together a mix that can be enjoyable in every moment. When we think about Wood’d we think about the elegance of their product so we wanted to go smooth and classy on this one. Furthermore, when someone say “wood”, we automatically think “percussions”. You’ll hear some Funky House grooves blended with Old School Breaks and Deep House music.
